Detective Division

The Detective Division is responsible for the prevention, detection, and investigation of crime. The Division’s work often complements the work of police officers in the City of Rye. Detective work is highly specialized, usually encompassing the examination and evaluation of evidence to apprehend suspects and to build solid cases against them. The Division Commander ensures that each one of the Detectives conducts solid, high-quality investigations in a timely manner and that each investigation is handled efficiently, with dedication and professionalism.

The Division is headed by Lieutenant Mike Anfuso, a twenty seven year veteran of police work. His staff includes general investigators Justin Keeney and Robert Jones. Juvenile matters are handled by Gabe Caputo.
