Home MenuCity Manager
The City Manager is the City’s Chief Administrative Officer and reports directly to the City Council. The Manager is available to assist Rye residents with matters related to City services, including—but not limited to—City employment, disaster mitigation and preparedness, general inquiries, and City Council agendas.
The City Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of all City departments, preparing the tentative budget, and appointing City personnel. The Manager provides regular and special reports to the City Council and works closely with City officers, boards, and commissions appointed by the Council. The City Manager serves for an indefinite term at the pleasure of the City Council.
Residents with requests involving a specific department—such as the Department of Public Works or the Building Department—are encouraged to submit a ticket through the City’s Public Reporting 311 system. This web-based platform captures and assigns requests directly to the appropriate personnel, allowing City staff to efficiently manage day-to-day issues and provide timely resolutions.
