The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City and directly reports to the City Council. The Manager is available to the citizens of Rye for assistance in any matters relating to City services including, but not limited to: City employment, disaster mitigation/preparedness, general questions and City Council Agendas.
It is the Manager’s responsibility to supervise and coordinate the work of all City departments, prepare the tentative budget, and hire personnel. The Manager provides regular and special reports to the Council and works with City officers, boards, and commissions appointed by the Council. The Manager serves for an indefinite term at the pleasure of the Council.
