The Finance Department provides comprehensive financial management and administrative services by computing, analyzing, and distributing information on the financial health, direction and progress of the City and through the safe keeping and administration of City funds. Department programs include: General Accounting, Treasury (including property tax collection), Accounts Payable and Payroll. The City of Rye Fiscal year runs from January 1 to December 31.
The City's finance department consistently receives national awards for its excellence in budget presentation and financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers' Association of the United States and Canada.
