The Deer Committee, formed in 2025, advises the City Council on deer management using data collected with City support and guidance from the New York State DEC. The committee will gather public feedback, build partnerships, and help create and carry out a recommended management strategy. It will also educate residents about living with deer and propose a management plan that meets State regulations and reflects the community’s needs. There are no set term limits.
