The Boat Basin Commission makes recommendations and adopts rules and regulations subject to approval, reviews annual budget estimates, membership categories and proposed fee schedules prior to submission to the City Council.  Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. The Boat Basin Commission consists of 6 residents of the City of Rye and one non-resident who has a boat slip/kayak permit at the facility.  This is done by nominations/election of the permit holders and formally accepted by the City Council. The members of the Commission shall elect a chair person from its members annually.  Commission members serve a 3-year term.
