The Board meets on an as-needed basis to render advisory opinions on specific situations to officers and employees of the City with respect to General Municipal Law and the City’s Code of Ethics.

The Board of Ethics is comprised of 5 members. Three members are residents of Rye appointed by the Mayor with Council approval for 3-year terms.  The  Chairman is selected by the Board from among the public members.  The City Manager and Corporation Counsel are the remaining two members of the Board.
