The Rye Police are alerting all motorists and pedestrians to the following: The Soul Ryeders Half Marathon returns to the City of Rye on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Please expect increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area along Playland Parkway, Forest Ave, Midland Ave, and Grace Church St throughout the morning hours.

Important event times:

• 7:15 a.m. – Main parking lot access closes until 9:00 a.m.

• 7:30 a.m. – Half Marathon begins

• 7:45 a.m. – 5K begins

Motorists are advised to use caution, expect delays, and follow all posted traffic directions and officer instructions. We wish all participants a safe and successful race day.
