Post Date:01/22/2025 12:29 PM The NY Blood Center has issued an emergency plea to donate blood following a significant drop in blood donations after a holiday season of alarmingly low donor turnout. NYBC has seen a nearly 30% drop in donations in recent weeks resulting in 6,500 fewer donations; crippling the region’s blood supply. The recent snowstorm further impacted the need. Donations of all blood types are urgently needed – especially Types O- and B-, which are down to dangerously low 1-3-day supply.
