The "Back to Bach" Project
On Sunday, February 10th, Big Picture Foundation, a local nonprofit founded by Rye students (https://bigpicturefoundation.org/) invites elementary, middle, and high school age participants to a free interactive workshop, which will take place in the Rye Library meeting room: https://www.ryelibrary.org/ Kids will have the chance to work directly with Rye, NY cello prodigy, Sean Yu, and his friends from the Back to Bach Project, all members of the Julliard pre-college program. Demonstrations, solo, and chamber performances will follow an initial presentation, all ending with a quiz and a prize for an audience member. The Back to Bach Project is a global initiative to inspire music and arts education among children, and to teach the value of hard work and passion. Mr. Yu, a member of the distinguished Juilliard pre-college program, a freshman at Rye High School, and regional manager for the Back to Bach Project, initiated this exciting collaboration between the Back to Bach Project and the Big Picture Foundation.
