Athletic Field Development
The City of Rye Recreation Department Master Plan presented in March 2000 identified that the development of new athletic fields was the most frequently cited recreation goal for the city. After an extensive evaluation of five sites, two primary sites emerged as the most feasible location to support new athletic fields. A Special Field/wetlands Committee was formed and conducted numerous public workshops to further refine the site plans at both locations.
