"here they come". A Harrison resident reported to police that her front license plate was either lost or stolen on the 24th. NY plate ayv-2381 was discovered missing by the complainant during the course of the day. Police filed the proper reports to DMV regarding the loss or theft. Apparently an unknown idiot or idiots with
nothing better to do decided to smash a windshield on a vehicle parked in the

front door smashed on the 6th. Coldstone
Cream front glass door was vandalized sometime over night by an unknown creep or
creeps. Nothing appears to have
been taken during the incident. The owner is looking at a 3000.00 bill to repair the damages.
One thing is certain people, that door didn't smash itself... The Gap on Purchase Street reported an
incident of an attempted shoplifting on the 5th.
A male inside the store was reportedly seen placing items in a shopping
bag lined with an anti theft defeater device.
Police were called and the subject was located in a parking lot behind
the store. The suspect was I'D and
unfortunately no swag was found to be in his possession at the time patrol units
located him. All pertinent
information regarding the subject was taken at the time. A GMC Hummer vehicle was stolen from the
rear of the Marriott Court Yard Hotel sometime overnight on the 5th.
The vehicles owner reported parking the

Motorola walkie talkies where also stolen from he same office. A Milton Road resident reported to police
that her vehicle was struck on the 3rd. The
complainant reported to police that her vehicle was parked and unoccupied and
upon her return noticed damage that was inflicted by another vehicle.

vehicle has the same thing happen to him/her sometime). Another Rye business was the victim of a
larceny last week. Play land market
reported that a person known to them passed two bad checks totaling over 50.00.
Patrol logged the complaint and will follow up on the crime. The Rye Recreation
Center was the scene of an attempted break-in back on the 3rd.
It was reported to police that sometime overnight some idiot attempted to
break in to the building by cutting a screen to the woman's bathroom.
It appears that the attempt failed.
It will cost the tax payers about 100.00 bucks to repair the damage.
Patrol units logged a report and will give the area extra patrol as time and
manpower allow. OK, if you have any
suggestions, questions or comments, we'd LOVE to hear from you. You can reach us

Apparently the rings where stolen sometime last year from the resident.
Patrol units logged a report. Keep
all valuables under lock and key people. Two idiots where caught by Rye police and A
+ P employees after a larceny at the Boston Post Road store on the 22nd. According to reports, the two persons grabbed cans of beer
and fled the store, well staggered from the store. The dynamic duo didn't stagger very far and where caught in
the A + P lot. A + P declined to
press charges and where happy to get their stock back. (They must of been thirsty). How about some more arrests ????. An Old Greenwich man was arrested by the Rye PD highway unit on the 3rd. Patrick Austrian was stopped on Midland Avenue for "alleged traffic violations" by Officer Cancel. Upon speaking to the defendant, Officer Cancel noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the defendants breath. After further field tests, he was placed under arrest and transported to Rye HQ for processing. Mr. Austrian has upcoming court dates. Cancel again !. Robert DeCola of New Rochelle has some
explaining to do in Rye City Court. Cancel stopped the defendant for alleged
traffic violations and upon further investigation ascertained that the vehicles
registration was suspended. DeCola
was placed under arrest and upon inventorying the vehicle, Rye Officers found a
substance believed to be marijuana. In
addition to the driving charges, the defendant was charged with unlawful
possession of marijuana. He forked
over 100.00 clams for bail and will be seeing the judge.
Too bad, so sad, bye bye !. How about a pair from Officer Washco ?: While on patrol on Play land parkway,
Officer Washco observed a grey Acura commit "alleged traffic
violations". Washco pulled the vehicle over and upon speaking to the
driver ascertained that his prividge to drive in NY state was suspended.

HQ. His car was towed to the
impound yard and he has future court dates. A duo of diamonds from Officer Julio Rossi: Number 1 from Rossi.
A motorist "allegedly" operating with no headlights on after
dark will have to do some explaining in Rye Court.
PO Rossi stopped the defendant, a Paulo Mejia of Port Chester on Midland
for the infraction and found that his vehicle was unregistered and was
displaying improper license plates. Rossi
hooked the car, took the plates and left the defendant with not one, but three
invitations to see the judge. He
will have some explaining to do. The second from PO Rossi.
Freddie Scott of Port Chester was issued two summons for
"allegedly" operating his vehicle o Midland Avenue unregistered and
displaying improper license plates. After
issuing the summons, Rossi and his crew inventoried the car and towed it to the
impound yard. Lastly, one from Officer Anfuso.
While on patrol in the wee hours of the morning on the 21st, Officer
Anfuso stopped a vehicle for the usual. Upon
speaking to the defendant a Christian Rodriquez of the Bronx, PO Anfuso
ascertained that his license to drive in NY State was suspended. That's all there is, there is no more. Let's all work together to make Rye a safe place to live and work. Keep an eye out for one another and report any suspicious activity you see to the Rye Police. For Police Commissioner William R. Connors and the City of Rye Police department, this is Gary L.
