VIN Etching
(V.I.N. = Vehicle Identification Number)
- Basic vehicle information is taken by Rye Police Detectives
- Templates are made that will be temporarily fastened to the windows of your car
- Etching fluid is applied over the templates
- After a prescribed period, the templates are removed and the etching fluid is neutralized
- Decals are applied warning potential thieves that the vehicle has been permanently marked with its VIN.
