The City of Rye Conservation Commission/Advisory Council manages the City’s
conservation facilities and programs. It assists in the administration of environmental
regulatory activities and provides public services for citizen involvement in local and
regional environmental issues.
The CC/AC meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Rye Nature Center. A copy of the agenda is posted on Monday of the week of the meeting.
The CC/AC, in association with the Friends of Rye Nature Center,
produced an “Everyday Environmental Guide for Rye.” Included are easy how-to
instructions for improved environmental practices and information on many environmental
organizations active in Rye and beyond.
