What time do you open?
The
police department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Administrative
personnel follow a normal workweek of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4
p.m. The records office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.

Where can I pay this parking ticket?
Parking tickets can be paid at city hall in person or mail by following
the instructions on the back of the ticket. City code summonses are
payable at the court, 21 McCullough Place. They can be reached at
967-1599.

What time is Playland having fireworks?
All Playland related information can be obtained by calling the general
information number, 925-2701 The County Police substation located in the
Playland Circle can be reached at 925-2751.

information should be obtained

the local news or by calling the city schools.
5.
What is this snow ordinance thing, anyway?
There is no
parking on any public street or parking lot in the City of Rye from
November 1st until April 1st between the hours of 3
a.m. and 6 a.m.

Where do I get a taxi?
There are no “yellow” cabs in Rye. The taxis are usually parked next
to the train platform on the East bound side of the tracks. Please note
that taxis cannot “cruise” for fares. They must be dispatched from
their headquarters or hailed in the taxi stand in the plaza.
7. Directions
to the Rye Town Hilton.
The Rye Town Hilton is located in Rye Brook on Westchester Ave.
From the police station, a person would travel North on Purchase St to
Ridge St., turning right onto Ridge. The fourth traffic light on Ridge St.
is Westchester Ave. Turn left on Westchester Ave. and proceed ¼ mile. The
Hilton is on the right.

8. Railroad
station parking permits.
The train station parking is all permit or meter controlled.
Permits are sold at city hall, 1051 Boston Post Rd. Note that weekends and
holidays, parking is free.
9. Can
I park in the railroad station overnight?
There is no parking in the railroad station from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
10. Where
can I get fingerprints taken for non-criminal reasons?
The police department will print residents for non-criminal
purposes. An appointment is necessary. Call 967-1234 x327 to set up an
appointment. The fee is $10 per fingerprint card.
11. I
need a letter of good conduct.
Residents may obtain letters of good conduct from the department.
Proof of residency and a photo ID are required. The fee is $30
