From New York City and points south via I-95N New England Thruway:

Exit 20 (Rye Route 1). Note there is no warning for exit 20 before you arrive at ramp. Right at top of ramp onto Route 1 South. Stay on Route 1 south (Boston Post Road) for ½ mile. City Hall entrance is on the right.
From Connecticut and points north via I-95S New England Thruway:

Exit 21(Route 287), BUT immediately exit at Midland Avenue. Exit 21 and Exit 22 share a ramp, Exit 22 is not well marked and both are proceeded by Exit 2 in Connecticut. Turn left onto Midland Avenue. At first light turn right onto Peck Avenue. At first light turn left onto Route 1 south (Boston Post Road) for ½ mile. City Hall entrance is on the right.
From White Plains, Rockland and points north via I-287E Cross Westchester Expressway:

Exit 11 (Rye Route 1) right lane exit. Turn right onto Route 1 south (Boston Post Road) for 1 mile. City Hall entrance is on the right.


When Taking I-684S from Northern Westchester:
Please take I-287 Eastbound and follow the directions above.


From New York City, the Bronx or Connecticut via the Hutchinson River Parkway:

Exit 25 (North Street). Turn right onto North Street southbound following signs for Rye. Bear left at fork while staying on North Street. Turn left at intersection of North Street and Theodore Fremd Avenue (just after the bridge over I-95 and the Metro North Railroad). Proceed on Theodore Fremd Avenue to Purchase Street (main shopping district). Right on Purchase Street, four blocks. City Hall entrance is on the right.


Parking:


City Hall shares a parking facility with the Rye Free Reading Room. Often there is limited availability of parking at City Hall. Additional parking maybe found at the municipal parking lot on Locust Avenue off of Purchase Street which is across the Village Green.
By Train:

Take Metro North’s Stamford Line to the Rye Station. Taxis are available at the station for local transportation.


By Bus:
