Rye now has two cable tv providers, Cablevision and Verizon. Please note the channel allocations above. 

Cablevision has now moved the PEG channels to the digital tier, so if you have basic cable you must use a free convertor box to view our channels. Call 1-800-353-9821 to order it.

Democracy Now is a daily TV news program, hosted by Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez, airing on over 700 stations, pioneering the largest community media collaboration in the U.S.

Sponsored by the Progressive Alliance of Westchester, Democracy Now's 1 hour program will cablecast at 8am and again at 7pm on Public Channel. www.progressiveallianceofwestchester.org

Overview

Rye Television is responsible for the television production needs of all city departments and agencies, in addition to overseeing access to the community channel by the general population. Rye TV also oversees the cable franchise, which is awarded by the City Council to qualified multi-channel service providers.

Rye TV, along with the Rye City School District, provides a blend of programming produced by the municipality, school district, and community members for local channels 75/39, 76/ and 77/. City programming runs on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39,  the community has access to Channel 76/?, and the Rye City School District programs Channel 77/?.                                                                                                                                                   

The current providers of cable TV in the City of Rye is Cablevision of Westchester and Verizon.

Rye TV is also a member of the Alliance for Community Media
