Please note that this site deals only with parking violations.
If you have received a moving violation (speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign, passing a stopped school bus, etc.), please call the Rye City Court at (914) 967-1599. If you need information concerning City of Rye parking permits, please visit the Rye City Clerk's Office.
If you wish to plead guilty and pay your parking violation you can:
Pay your parking ticket online with a credit card, or,
Pay by check or money order: Mail in your parking ticket with the authorization and waiver on the back of the ticket signed and dated, and your check or money order made payable to the City Comptroller, or,Pay by credit card: Credit card payments may be taken over the telephone, or mailed in by completing the authorization and waiver, and the credit card information on the back of the ticket.
If you wish to plead not guilty and request a hearing please contact us by e-mail or by telephone (914-967-7303) to schedule a hearing date.
You may also plead guilty with an explanation (or guilty with a request for waiver of penalties and interest), wherein you agree that you were in violation of the parking regulations, but believe that you have an explanation that may convince the court to waive the fine and/or any associated penalties. If you wish to plead guilty with an explanation you have two options:
Request a hearing by contacting the parking violations bureau by e-mail or telephone (914-967-7303) to schedule a hearing date, or,
Complete a plea/disposition form, and mail it in together with a copy of your driver's license (or a copy of the license of the person using your vehicle when the ticket was issued), and a copy of the vehicle's registration. This information will be forwarded to the Court for its review and determination. You will be notified of the Court's judgment when rendered. Please note you may be notified that the Court may require your appearance.
