What is Organic Yard Waste?
Grass, brush, twigs, vines, small braches (no loner than three
feet in length and four inches in diameter), spring yard clippings.
When and How Will It Be Collected?
Organic yard waste will now be collected every Wednesday except
on holiday weeks. Organic yard waste will no longer be collected with your
regular trash pick-up.
Organic yard waste MUST be in BROWN PAPER BAGS only. No
plastic bags, no plastic lined bags, and printed shopping bags or cardboard
boxes will be accepted. Brown "Kraft" bags only. Small branches can be
bundled together but may not exceed three feet in length or four inches in
diameter.
No bag may weigh more than 60 pounds wet or dry.
What Happens On Holiday Weeks?
On any week with a official City holiday there will be NO
organic yard waste collection.
When Can I Put My Yard Waste Out?
There will be curbside collection only. Bags must not be brought
to the curb earlier than 7:00 am Tuesday. Prior to that time the yard waste must
be stored on your property per City Code.
What Should Homeowners Tell Their Landscapers?
Homeowners are responsible for informing their landscapers and gardeners
of all the new rules. Feel free to direct any questions to the Department of
