The marine unit was called into action inland to assist patrol units during flooding caused by the remnants of hurricane Francis. On Wednesday September 8th, 2004, PO Olivier, BC Caldwell and PO Gomez assisted PO Julio Rossi in rescuing and assisting 6 Rye residents who were trapped in their homes and in a vehicle by rising flood waters. Caldwell, Gomez and Olivier donned dry suits and conducted sweeps of flooded homes to look for stranded residents.

Flood PhotosOther highlights include BCs Matero and Caldwell assisting the Village of Mamaroneck Marine unit in rescuing 3 persons who's 14' rental boat sank off of Larchmont Harbor on September 4th.
August 2004: BCs Caldwell and Valenti terminated a pursuit by Stamford PD of a boat Stamford was attempting to stop for reckless operation. The vessel in questioned was spotted and cut off by PB-1. Stamford issued the appropriate summons to the offenders.
The unit also addressed complaints of persons violating the environmental conservation laws and have effected several arrests via apperance tickets to combat the problems.
